- Secular Legislative Action Committee (SLAC-ers) – We are a group of people who seek to monitor and possibly influence legislation related to secular issues in Texas. Among our interests are church-state separation, educational issues, and social issues affecting the “nones.”
State-wide groups in Illinois:
- Illinois Science Council – promoting science events for non-scientists
Groups in Chicago, The City That Matters:
- Center For Inquiry Chicago Branch- aka CFI. They also have a Meetup Group.
- Chicago Brights Meetup
- Chicago Latino Atheists – There is also a Latino Atheists website and a Twitter account
- Chicago Skeptics Meetup – There is now a Chicago Skeptics website and Twitter account
